What is this error message

I'm getting computation errors on almost every HPF WU. This morning I got this message on my screen that I've never seen before. Are they somehow related? Except for the computation errors the BOINC client seems to be running normally.

Re: What is this error message

What OS?
What Client Version?
Installed as Service or User?
Security Software?
What Exception set in Security software ? (Remember recently a new science app was released, so permissions might need updating.)
What does the 'View Detail' screen say?

OS-Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Client version-6.10.18
Installed as user
Security software- Microsoft security essentials- Windows firewall-Permissions set correctly
Unfortunately I closed the message without looking at the details. If it shows again I'll take another screen shot.

This machine has been running fine for months. I did change out the mobo/cpu but that shouldn't change the way the client works should it?

Re: What is this error message

Do a restart. If they keep failing choose a different project. Actually choose 2 or more, or you will stop picking up tasks!

Did a restart. Currently running 3 projects and waiting for HFCC to restart.

Re: What is this error message

If you get more failures upgrade to Boinc 6.10.56. Be sure to use the x64 version.

Check the OS event log and the MS essentials logs for any kick/outs, and please do not disable HPF2 as we like to learn what those details have to tell and do confirm the other sciences are validating. Of course, we would like to see what the error log has to say on the Result Status page.

Skip the 6.10.56 idea. Its got bugs and a memory leak and principally the client is just a manager, the science app doing the execution.

No, changing the CPU and mobo at the most may have effected the tasks that were running prior to the change over... and that would have included a fresh start. Assume you did some robust testing and memory checking, crunching the hardest workout :)

Re: What is this error message

I would add, check the Hard drive (disk check). That error looks like a Win7 caching error, when you use too much RAM.
Do you have an x64bit Boinc client?

Boinc client is 64 bit. Machine has 4GB of 1600MHz ram.

Re: What is this error message

Any re-occurrence?
4GB should be fine, just as long as you are not crunching 3 or 4 Lattice Project tasks (1.2GB each)!
