Thanks for raising this topic - I very rarely look at the graphics, I just let the WU's grind away in the background - I'll take much more interest in the graphic now!!!

You can also watch WU directly.
in BOINC\projects\www\worldcommunitygrid.org\ open X000.....jp2 it are HCC WU files. You can open it with Irfanview for instance. |

l_mckeon: All crystal sightings are useful, but crystals near the edge are especially interesting, because our best automatic classifiers can recognize about 80% of the crystals, and there is some evidence that crystals near the well's edge appear disproportionately in that missing 20%. The crystallographers themselves don't care where in the well the crystal appears, as long as it's found by eyeballs or software.
