Re: Slow uploads and downloads

See this very occasionally and it usually fixes itself after the first 1 minute back-off. and fed up... imagine those who are asked to help out seeing that comment frequently with just a snippet of info ;o)

For the moment, unless you have more (debug) log messages to offer, can only ask you to work through this FAQ: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=21569

Let us know... and all 5 having the issue... my bet being on a router that needs booting.

smile Re: Slow uploads and downloads

Sorry for being "Fed up" Sekerob, I do appreciate you really smile
I checked my machines again. 3 had uploaded but no go with the others. I rebooted the 2 machines and they went. Thats sorted then. Router was OK, but the 2 machines had a lot pending, maybe the client thought that too much??
Anyway, all OK so thanks again.

Tom

Re: Slow uploads and downloads

I just gave up on WCG for a while because it would take all night to get anything done as far as uploading and downloading with all the Http errors.

Plus now that it's been so hot with Temp in the upper 90's to low 100 and my A/C not the best I had to shut down 2 of my Laptops, my Dell 2200 the one that runs WCG and another Laptop a Compaq 905us died due to ba power supply ( I think the heat got to it).

I will try on Monday July 5 to get the Dell 2200 up and running and d/l the WCG and see how it works.

I will keep you posted

BTW: I don't use a Router, I'm on dail up.
