I'm not sure if this problem should be filed under FAAH, BOINC or the web site.
I have a set of results that refuses to upload. Log clip:
Should I just abort the files and throw away the 4 hours and 6 minutes it spent processing the WU?? |

You guys need to strap down your knees and actually peruse the messages.
Does that look 'resolved' to you? It is NOT a failure to access the site as that thread covers (and which I reviewed prior to my original post, determining it was NOT the same problem). Nevermind. Thanks, anyway... I'll just delete that result and put that machine on einstein@home instead, since the upload failure on those 4 result files is keeping any other WCG results on that machine from being uploaded too, unless I manually click Retry Now on the Transfers tab.. |

ZoSo, have you tried rebooting your router/restarting BOINC?, as there is a chance that may clear it...

Randzo (and everyone else), this issue DOES appear to be slightly different (it may/may not connected with it), than the "[error] Error on file upload: Maintenance underway: file uploads are temporarily disabled." error message - as ZoSo is getting the following;
----------------------------------------[error] Error reported by file upload server: EOF on socket read : asked for ...., got 0 ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by gb009761 at Jun 13, 2010 4:19:37 PM] |

It's been aborted now, and already issued to someone else. And that machine just finished downloading about 400MB of work units from the einstein-dl2.phys.uwm.edu server. |

ZoSo, I'm sorry to hear that you've transferred that machine's spare cycles away from WCG and on to Einstein@home. Obviously, that WU has now gone, although before you aborted it, did you try my suggestions (rebooting your router/BOINC)?
----------------------------------------As to fredski, Scribe, Randzo & JEklund, I'm disappointed in you - as, although of a similar nature to the one experienced by many others (myself included), this issue did appear to be different. Thus, simply pointing to a thread stating that THAT particular issue had been resolved when ZoSo's appeared different (and hadn't been resolved by the resumption of file uploads), certainly wasn't helpful. Please read the symptoms fully, before jumping to conclusions. ![]() |
