Re: Problems accessing website/servers

We could really use tracert's from locations that experience this issue. It appears that some routes into our servers are problematic and we are trying to document what those are. If you don't want to post your ip address online then please send the tracert to support@worldcommunitygrid.org and ask Kevin to review it.

thanks,
Kevin

Re: Problems accessing website/servers

TylerChris,

The IP you posted is a LAN IP from a range that is worldwide reserved for internal use. If you will, open a DOS / Terminal Window and type in:

tracert -h 30 -4 www.worldcommunitygrid.org > tracert.txt

this will create a file named tracert.txt which content mail to support@worldcommunitygrid.org. The first few with 192.168.xxx.xxx are the internal LAN/router IPs. The first after that is the IP address [usually temporarily] assigned to you by your ISP.

sample output:

Tracing route to www.worldcommunitygrid.org [198.20.8.246]
via maximum of 30 hops:

1 1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1
2 21 ms 22 ms 21 ms 192.168.100.1
