confused Probem accessing stats

For some time I used to download team stats directly into a spreadsheet from the site by accessing the tables presented on the team stats page. At some point that stopped working, returning server errors. I gave up at that point and stopped tracking my team's stats in that manner and found a rather clunky work-around.

Now I'm back trying to track the stats of individual machines, and while I can easily bring up the numbers I want on the web page, something is preventing me from linking to them in my spreadsheet.

I normally use openoffice but the issue is the same in Microsoft Excel 2003, so I don't believe this is an issue at my end but am confused why WCG would deign to block access to the stats like this.

Could someone explain what's going on here? confused

Re: Probem accessing stats

If you give the link to the webpage you're pulling this from, I'll try to replicate.

edit: ... but think if it's a My Grid https page, it's not going to work, at least, I never got the old scrape method pulling anything on My Grid into Excel 2007. The query just crashes out with an unable to connect...

That said, if your devices are not hidden, the info can be pulled from the xml files that BOINCstats imports from WCG exports... in credits, not points.

Yes, it's stuff from the My Grid pages. I used to be able to grab pretty much anything, but that was a while back. Now not much seems to work.

I'll try hunting the xml files and see how that goes.
