If you have to micro manage 3 machines to feel you did something I recommend you leave your pc's for a while and relax and enjoy the weather and realize that DDDT2 does not control your world How true Helle. In fact I refused the slavery to be chained to my 11 machines to try to capture the DDDT2 work. I prefer to go diving in the Maldives or to tour under the Sun on my Harley Davidson |

Should DDDT2 Have gone ahead? Not your call. You are free to be a complainer or to opt out, but don't go second guessing the Techs. |

Who was second guessing? I was asking a question, not making a statement!

Who was second guessing? I was asking a question, not making a statement! You can certainly ask the question, but don't be ridiculous by asking me to believe that you are not being critical in asking the question. If you are asking me, I am not qualified to answer the question (nor is any other cruncher, so why are you asking?). If you are asking WCG staff then you are questing their decision, which is second guessing. If you are just looking to the members for a poll of opinion, then who cares? Do you thing WCG is going to cancel dddt2 if 100 crunchers agree with your implied criticism. |

As to the original post which does not ask a question only implies that DDDT2 should not have been released when and how it was. I say it should have been released how else could we hope to find a cure?
The number crunchers motivated by badges is probably equal to the number of crunchers who read these forums. That being said, they would understand how the project was set up to distribute WUs and no one was surprised or alienated. |

As to the original post which does not ask a question....... One presumes that you can read....pray what is the title of this thread and what is the last character of the title? The last character of the title is the same as the last character of the previous sentence, namely a QUESTION mark....nuff said! |

You are right, I read the body of your post without paying much attention to the title.
That being said, I still think it should have been released. Do you have a suggestion on how the release process can be improved? |

That being said, they would understand how the project was set up to distribute WUs and no one was surprised or alienated. As I noted in another DDDT-2 thread, during March Madness CBS had a report on Michigan State University that said researchers there were experimenting with innoculating breeding areas with an otherwise benign and common bacteria that prevents the mosquitos from picking up the dengue at birth... so with any luck (on the profs' and grad students' parts), the need for a cure after the mosquito passes it to humans when injecting its anti-coagulant could cease to exist before this task finishes, anyway. Then I guess all we'd have to watch out for from them is the West Nile virus. Aside to Hypernova... is that a Heritage or a Road King? (neither usually come with a tourpak.) |

corse this project should have gone ahead... look at it this way even if there are delays (that were expected) the scientists at least know whats going to happen and can be more prepared.
----------------------------------------sure some power crunchers are high on the badges while others got nothing (YET) dont worry it will come back they said it would be intermittent.. unfortunately for alot of us its less active than we all thought it would be. personally i was hoping for a bronze before i had to wait again but i am willing to wait. lets wait it out and see when it comes back |
