Re: Linux Boinc, new task ?

it's not the solution because my Linux is 64bits only, not multilibs !

Re: Linux Boinc, new task ?

While the Bionc Agent is 64 bit, All WCG projects are 32 bit only, therefore with out the 32 bit libs, nothing for you works

Re: Linux Boinc, new task ?

hello cfdev,
64-bit Linux can run 32-bit application programs if you download the proper 32-bit support libraries. If you will tell us what your OS is, we can tell you where to find the 32-bit support libraries. You need them anyway since so many Linux programs are compiled in 32-bit mode.

Re: Linux Boinc, new task ?

Just load the ia32-libs on your linux system. All my 64bit linux systems have some kind of 32 bit app on them that requires these libraries. It's not a big deal.

Re: Linux Boinc, new task ?

Ok folks. If you have upgraded your Linux operating system -- or upgraded any operating system that automatically upgraded to the new Boinc -- or if you simply downloaded the new Boinc thinking it would be a good thing --

and now you are having problems, simply delete the new Boinc version and reinstall the older version of Boinc that did work on your computer. It's the magic fix.

Forget getting lost in bits and libraries. Simply download and use what worked in the past and get on with your WCG projects.
