ts01_d018_ps0000 - possible bad work unit

If you are one of the two people that have this work unit ( ts01_d018_ps0000 ) watch it closely. It hung at ~ 30 % on my computer.

It started running sometime Friday. I noticed that it didn't seem to be running correctly Saturday morning so I re-started computer then went out of town for the weekend. When I got home last night the work unit was still not progressing as it should. I re-started computer again and let it run last night. Was up to 30.680 % this morning. I re-started computer once again. Progress dropped to 30 % again. I let it run another 15 minutes and nothing happened so I aborted it.

It is an A type DDDT2 wu.
They are huge with only 50 chceckpoints.
What was the total runtime?
Your OS/CPU type?
What do you mean by running not correctly?

Well too late now, but usually they suggest suspending the unit until you find out what the techs suggest. That way you're not wasting cycles while you're waiting if it's bad and not wasting time spent on the unit if it's good.

Re: ts01_d018_ps0000 - possible bad work unit

I mean that the run time hours were increasing and so were the hours to completion but the % completed part wasn't changing. It ran all weekend and was stuck at 30% complete. I don't know what the total run time was for sure (over 60 hours though) because I re-started the computer 3 times trying to get the thing to go on through. I lost a bunch of hours everytime I re-started. OS - Vista Ultimate 64. CPU - Q6700.

I didn't think about suspending it and asking here before I aborted it. sad

Hello nono4444 welcome to WCG and forums.
Your WU was uploaded to the server but your client need to connect to scheduler. It is automated but it connects not so often to spare.
If you want connect manually go advanced view -> projects -> select world community grid and press Update.
