We have just released 150 work units for type B work units to be tested. This is using a new binary that will allow us to get stderr information when a work unit exit 29's. Also, it will have some improved checkpointing. Also, decreased IO for the log file that is created (result.out).

We do plan on running this same binary against type C work units when we receive them from the researchers. If all goes well, we will be then testing this binary against type A work units.

Thanks for the information, uplinger.
----------------------------------------Does that mean, that no further DDDT2 work units will be distributed until the binary setup has been changed? Thanks in advance! [Edit 1 times, last edit by roundup at Mar 17, 2010 8:04:47 PM] |

From the parallel C-type thread in the DDDT2 forum:
---------------------------------------- We may wait a few more days to release some more type C work units. We are going to receive a new batch from them in the next 24 hours, but will be putting those into beta first to make sure they run on the binary enhancements explained in that thread. -Uplinger [Mar 17, 2010 7:31:25 PM]

I am going to put on hold sending out more type C work units. Type A will continue sending work and we don't have any new type B work units to send at this time. So these probably won't be sent until after the binary change if all goes well.

Thanks, Sek. This posting is about C-Types only.
My question is: If there is a Beta test on Type B and the Type Cs will also be moved to beta, may there Type A available this week? |

Well I read it to encompass B-type too since B and C use the same binary.
----------------------------------------...but will be putting those into beta first to make sure they run on the binary enhancements explained in that thread. The A type is covered in Uplinger's last post above.
