We expect over 250,000 type C work units to come from these 1000 type A work units. Please be patient. As noted in my post, this project is a waterfall where type A work units produce type B, which then produce type C. We need to process the few to get to the many :) -Uplinger |

We need to process the few to get to the many :) -Uplinger Hey Uplinger, I understand the way the project works, but... 1) Patience is a thing, which I unfortunally do not have (I'm working on it though) 2) I would be ever so happy to be part of the chain to produce the 250.000 WUs 3) I can't wait to see my new badge changing colors...!!! But to put the number of 250.000 WUs into perspective, in the last 24 hours the WGC crunchers returned 434.889 results... So that's about half a day of work...  But even when my patience is still in development... One of my strengths is endurance!   |

Type A: Runtime: 30-100 hours Quantity: About 36,000 work units Type B: Runtime: 5-10 Hours Quantity: About 72,000 work units Type C:Runtime: 1 to 5 Hours Quantity: About 22,000,000 work units Replication 2 So you can estimate runtime. But you should calculate with: 1 Speeding up the grid 2 new members 3 speeding up member´s computers And you need to gusess members interest in this project. So you have to be an Oracle ;-) |

Wow finally a new project. I have like other set my sights on getting as many as possible of these new work units. Yes I undestand that they will be limited but hey can fault a guy for trying! Hope we end up making a difference considering the magnitude of the project!

Randzo, I'm not sure but this could be the Phase 1 description... the project was stopped several times which is why it took 2 years nearly.
----------------------------------------Conservatively I come to 6,500 CPU years and at project share allowance etc etc running for 6 months or longer... depending on how long these intermittent periods are where results are studied and generated. As there was this butcher in Dad's Army: "Don't Panic, Don't Panic".
