Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

It's interesting how the crunching plans change... My plan was to get 100 days for HCC, HFCC & HCMD2 (which I did) and continue to get the silver for DSFL, C4CW & HPF2. But then HFCC got a new breath of life (now at 135 days), so now I'm toying with the idea of chasing after the ruby for HFCC (which wasn't part of the plan). Also, someplace in between all this was the rainfall from DDDT2 (which I also chased after) and I'm also not sure what is going to happen with HCC in the future (with all the talk of expected GPU for HCC).
So... basically what I'm saying is that for me, there is never a dull crunching moment. tongue

That's one of the joys of crunching at WCG - there's just so many good projects to choose from and run with.

For myself, with the extension of HFCC, I've now had time to change my 'mass badge upgrade' strategy slightly. So, now instead of going for a possible 5 badge upgrade, I'm looking for 6 (which will be possible when the next project gets launched and which would encompass an 'across the board' upgrade). Thus, I'm currently working on GFAM (preparing it for Silver), DSFL (preparing it for Gold) and in the meantime, running with CEP2 up to just prior to Ruby. If I get CEP2 there before the new project launches (unlikely, but possible), then I'll leave that at just prior to Ruby and take C4CW over that milestone and onwards to Emerald...

Decisions, decisions...

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

Well, after recovering from the SN2S surprise (admittedly a nice one), I think this is going to be my plan (until something else pops up to change it*):

- Take SN2S to -> Bronze (just started, so still a ways to go)
- Take GFAM to -> Bronze (only have 1 day, still a ways to go)
- Take DSFL to -> Silver (working on it, have 30 days)
- Take C4CW to -> Gold (gotta a start, have 50 days)
- Take HFCC to -> Ruby (still got some crunching to do since I only have 102 days)
- Take HPF2 to -> Silver (almost there, have 35 days)
- Take FAAH to -> Gold (still a ways to go, only have 48 days)

*The exception to the above would be DDDT2. I will drop everything to chase after this one when WUs become available (only have 18 days for this project).

As for the order in which I planning on executing the above... I'll probably do it on the fly or as my whim swings me.

cjslman, are you, like me, planning on making an attempt at getting multiple badge upgrades on the one Stats update?

Also, as I'm sure you already know, if you're wanting an upgrade on HFCC, I wouldn't leave it too late - as, I believe (other than HCC - which I suspect has quite some time to go), will be the next to finish. Thus, always keep an eye on the dashboard biggrin

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

I'm gonna try to do:

HCC > Emerald (need 123 days more)
C4CW > Ruby or emerald (no badge yet)
GFAM > Gold or Ruby (no badge yet)
CEP2 > Gold or Ruby (no badge yet)
DSFL > Gold or Ruby (no badge yet)
SN2S > Sapphire (no badge yet - obviously)

This could and probably will change, though. LOL!

Edit: Changing the order above due to projected days of work left...

C4CW > SN2S > GFAM > CEP2 > DSFL > HCC (if it's still around by then).

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

gb009761... nay, I'm not planning on making a massive update in one stat report ... don't have enough machines. As for HFCC, yep, I keep an eye on Sekerob's dashboard. HFCC right now is showing 184 days, and I think I can make it to ruby (only got to go another 78 days).
Also, I learned today that HCC isn't going away (I know about the GPU part, but not sure how the CPU part is going to fit in). So that's something I may have to figure into the equation.

Like you said a few posts back... decisions, decisions...

Ok, since HCC isn't going away after all, yet, I'm not gonna worry about that right now. Going to work on my C4CW instead, now.

Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

Well, I'm still crunching HCC, HFCC & C4CW trying to get them to ruby. This is how it looks for me so far (days crunched):

HCC = 118 days
HFCC = 140 days
C4CW = 135 days

According to Sekerob's dashboard, the days left for these projects are:

HCC = 580 days (these looks like a lot, but will decrease rapidly when GPU comes online)
HFCC = 218 days
C4CW = 148 days

So I think I have a fighting chance to made to ruby in these projects.
