Such a beautiful and sunny day in New York, and .......... then you die.
I remember that day I was in a business meeting and my doughter called me on my mobile and I couldn't believe what she was telling, in fact I thought she cannot invent all this it must be true. When I announced it to the participants, nobody around that meeting table coud believe that, so we went to find a TV set and that day business was finished.
I started calling my brother who lives in the US which I know happened to have meetings in the twin towers, but you can imagine it was impossible to get through, and finally a two days later I got hold of him and he was lucky as he had been there a week or so earlier.
There is really something terrible, and absurd about all that. I have been in the twin towers and around them a few times over the years, even flew in helicopter around them. And now last year when I was in New York there was simply a big void, a gaping hole.
It is time to rebuild just to make it clear that terror will not prevail. I hope that a significative memorial will be built over there, so that this tragedy will never be forgotten, and remind us that in the dangerous world in which we live today this can happen again anywhere.
