JD? Joe Don (Baker)?
----------------------------------------There were a Canadian and an American Navy man where latter praised Glennfiddich and former responded that he cleaned the kitchen sink with it, up on which the former latter slugged the latter former, over a Scottish whiskey. Lost ;? Yes, noticed too, send a mail since the forums are very intermittent too.

Once upon a time I bought a wooden cased bottle of Royal Lochnagar, Single Highland Malt somewhere in the Grampians for 50 Scottish pounds... with numbered certificate of authenticity. Once upon another time, 10 years later visited a restaurant where the proprietor was a whiskey lover, promoting his hobby in the place with many fine single malts on view. I recognized one and told the good man, dressed in kilt I had one of that brand? This is 20 years ago, but the ears started flapping and the question came sort of "Red or Blue Label"? Having latter he quoted me then a price of 450 [old] English pounds. The bottle in the case is still here, untouched, with other bottles such as of the houses of Lagavulin, Balvenie and Dalmore. One day we'll have a party, and it won't be a Boston Tea Party for sure, but that Lochnagar will remain in the preserve... in the maybe mistaken thought there's maybe classic in the house

Had a friend tell me that "you need to acquire a taste for it" to which I replied" If something doesn't taste good to you the first time your a fool to go back and be disappointed a second time." Now I'll admit that JD is cheap booze but I like the taste. I also like Wild Turkey which is better quality but given the choice I'll stick with the JD. ![]() Keep in mind that in my house a 1/2 gallon bottle of JD might last an entire year so no matter what I drink I'm not having any great effect on anyone's bottom line. ![]() To Dave Bell: Thanks ![]() |

The Stats problem is being worked on by one of the techs. The way this party is developing he might be too drunk to fix anything! ;-) |
