Very long tasks with low granted credit compared with claimed one [RESOLVED]

I subscribe to this project very long time ago? Since last week-end, i am receiving only very long tasks. For each of these tasks, i have been granted credit much more lower than the one that is claimed.
This is unusual: Most of the time for this project as well for the other i am granted more than claimed. Since " days the difference before both is really high (78 versus 221, 63 versus 181, ..)
What could i check ? (i rebooted already once).
Thanks

Re: Very long tasks with low granted credit compared with claimed one

Plz join the previously existing thread http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28390.

Rarely things come out of nowhere, client change, AV change, OS upgrade, many possibles.

Meantime, though I'm doing other WCG projects presently, I'll schedule a few FAAH in on my quad and will report through the other thread if anomalous, though doubting it will.

edit: This is the job just pulled ahead in the queue

09/02/2010 14:19:32 Starting task faah10668_ZINC04228010_xMut_md03380_02_0 using faah version 607

edit2: Preliminary findings, 13.9% after 56 minutes CPU time, checkpointing frequently. In the early days we tracked the different type as there were those that did so only once, twice, thrice ... 32 times and more, this one, what if doing about 43:

edit3: The full client message log, checkpoints, 45 fairly even spread over time and % progress indication, of which last 2 happened within seconds, then going into 2 minutes of wrap up, needing 6.11 hours CPU time, 6:40 in wallclock... device was busy, but made it switch affinity after which it lost not a minute to elapsed. Immediately validating, no wingman copy issued... still a reliable device :D

Re: Very long tasks with low granted credit compared with claimed one

I finally remind i did a change on Thursday evening about power management. I changed it again and the problem is solved.

[RESOLVED] Very long tasks with low granted credit compared with claimed one

Yes, well in that other thread it was mentioned, Speedstep, Cool and Quiet, RightMark CPU Clock Util. Used latter to get my Laptop back to max under W7.

Good for you, please edit your opening post and insert [RESOLVED] in title like I've done to this post.

Crunch On.
