This is excellent news. To me fully optical computers, I mean where a CPU processes the data exclusively optically are a much more realistic and feasible target.
----------------------------------------I can very well imagine fully optical CPU's available on the market in 30 years. The graal is the quantum computer but I think that one is at least 50 or more years far away. Will I be alive long enough to have one on my desktop? Who knows...... ![]() |
