Ooooooooooookay. Here I was thinking we'd see a better than average day today after the outage. From what I can see, it doesn't look like we have one or two folks drop out for the day. Best I can figure is that a lot less folks than I would have guessed run with a work queue. With the outage, we had a lot of folks with nothing to crunch until things came back up. Oh well. On to tomorrow..... My "fast" system ran out of work and sat for nearly 4 hours. ("fast" being very much relative here)The good news is that I still got just enough to get a emerald rice badge. More good news ... my "fast" system is supposed to be replaced tomorrow with a faster system. More bad news ... it is my "fast" system being replaced, not my slow or slower system. - D What's your new firepower? - D |

I bought one of those cooling pads that has a couple of fans powered off the USB for it to sit on (and, you can feel the heat it is pushing away). The only problem I have experienced is the loss of the wireless adapter, and I do not suspect heat was the problem there. I hope yours performs as well! Good Mornin' MOT -- up and at 'em! I think you'll see around 4-5K points a day out of the C2D (sounds like a Lenovo T61 to me, probably widescreen). |

On to tomorrow..... See! I WAS right, just off one day! Whatever. It all averages out to nice numbers. We're VERY close to averaging 400K points per day for 2010 already. Just under another 23000 points and we'd have that today.I usually make up those 20k points, but right now I'm off at YOYO@HOME doing evolutionary research... I see your results coming in Keith, are you giving it a core or two? Also, note that YOYO@HOME is actually our "top ranked" project according to BoincStats (#51). Perhaps in absolute terms but 51 out of what? I actually crunch at all our projects (well, non-GPU ones) but not all at the same time. I've been working on getting past 25K credits at each project so my non-WCG crunching has focused lately on Yoyo, Milkyway and Spinhenge. |
