----------------------------------------running 6.2.28 boinic, win vista, ie 8 normally don't have a problem with these, should I be worried/abort? HFCC_ s1_ 01393917_ s1_ 0000_ 0-- only thing in msg log was "restarting HFCC_s1" etc [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 30, 2009 2:40:46 AM] |

I have never seen or heard on one like this for the HFCC project unless the PC crashed. Did anything bad happen (like BSOD)?

Fredski, I will run this work unit stand alone to see if I can reproduce what you are seeing. What other settings do you have on your computer? Like run while active? If you can, please copy the Messages tab and paste them here or email them to support@worldcommunitygrid.org (you can actually do both if you'd prefer)...
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Ok, if it restarts from 0% again, please copy the messages, it may have something in there that may help...
Also, If you're willing to get your hands a little dirty :) Please send me the logs that are generated by this work unit. They would be in your C:\ProgramData\BOINC\slots\1 directory. That 1 could be any number, but since you show two tasks running you'll probably only have a 0 and 1 in the slots directory. In there you should see a *dlg file. Please copy that file to your desktop. Do not try viewing it until you paste it into your desktop. You do not need to turn off boinc for this or suspend anything. Then once the copy is finished, please zip the file by right clicking on the version on your desktop, then send to...then zip archive. next upload the file to rapidshare.com and post the link of the file. It will allow for me to download it...i think the file will be to large for email. Then repeat the steps for the second directory in the slots folder. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Fredski,
Ok, open up the file...the file you are looking for is in the ...BOINC\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org folder. Sorry, i thought it created the file locally, I was mistaken. If you open up the file you will see the filename to the folder i listed below, can you copy/paste this file to desktop like I was asking above. Thanks again, -Uplinger |
