We are pleased to announce that the enhanced World Community Grid application has been deployed in Facebook and may be seen here

If you were a user of the previous version of the World Community Grid Facebook application, then you will need to visit the new application so that you can re-link your Facebook account with your World Community Grid account.

This application allows you and your friends to participate in World Community Grid without leaving Facebook. Additional features of the application include the following:

- A Welcome page
- A link that allows you to 'share" the Welcome page with your family and friends
- The ability to register for World Community Grid within Facebook
- The capability to download the World Community Grid/BOINC Software
- Link (and unlink) an existing World Community Grid account with a Facebook account
- Detailed information about the active research projects
- Display News and Updates
- A link that allows you to 'share" the News and Updates with your family and friends
- A page that allows you to set World Community Grid to automatically update your wall with news of your choosing
- An "About Us" page
- A "How Grid Computing Works" page
- Access to "Global Stats"
- Access to "My Team Stats"
- Access to "My Stats"
- An informational page that explains what you can do using the World Community Grid facebook application and a summary of the additional things you can do at the World Community Grid website
- A Tab for the application that users can add to their Facebook profile.

With the release of the new application, the very popular trophy case and badge boxes that appeared on people's profiles will be removed.
