I'm sure I'm out of place here, but keep an eye on Obama. If he signs a treaty at the UN for climate change, he has broken the law. He can't commit our money without approval and he can be impeached and removed from office for that... Simply stated, he has no authority to commit government funds without approval. Actually, he can....sorta.....He can sign the treaty and all but it means nothing until Congress ratifies the treaty. It's the same for any President. When Reagan signed the SALT treaty with the Soviets, it didn't take effect, for us at least, until Congress ratified it. I forget which one but there was one treaty one of the recent Presidents signed but Congress didn't ratify. |

You are not out of place as far as im concerned--I went to the Code Red meeting in Washington Tuesday and most of the Senators were in hiding--But i can tell you they know that we terrorists-all 20 of us- are not happy.I don't know if the media covered any of it |

Yeah, you forget that NO ONE cares about the constitution any more. Not the Democrats, and certainly not the Republicans who went to war illegally under false pretenses, wiretapped the American public, and committed acts of torture as outlined by the Geneva Convention. Our founding fathers would be very disappointed in the modern Republican and Democratic Parties. |

BUT our treaties must be ratified (voted on and approved) by 2/3 of the Congress. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 17, 2009 5:48:23 PM] |
