The drop down menu to change the profile does not give me the option of changing profiles, it just has the default profile without the home profile listed. Gerry,Do you mean that when you select "Device Manager", then click on the device name you want to change you don't see "Default" in the drop down list of profile names on the "Current Assigned Device Profile" line? Woops! I think I was not clear in my prior post. In the drop down menu you mention, only default drops down from that menu. The problem is that that device profile is not default, it is a home profile, which I never created. How it was changed to a home profile is beyond me. There is no way for me to change it back to default like I want it. I did try to save it in the default as the menu suggests, but that didn't work either. Hmmmm! So, how do I change a home device profile to default if the default profile is the only one listed as an option, yet the device will not change to a default profile? |

So, if I understand correctly now, you have altered the standard settings of your Default profile and saved them as your new Default. Also you have never saved/created any of the other three Home, Work and School profiles.
----------------------------------------OK. If you don't want to lose your current Default settings (which you called a home profile) then save them in "Home". Next, use this Start Here/FAQ post BOINC: Restore Preset Defaults to restore the standard settings and save the result as "Default". ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by JmBoullier at Dec 5, 2009 6:17:32 PM] |
