confused odd credit calcs [RESOLVED]

this is from a good, solid consistant PC. (mine is the overclaimer)

on this one I can't imagine why the grant is so big as both claims look reasonable. Mine got the 1124 points.
CMD2_ 0165-MYH2A.clustersOccur-1I7X_ A.clustersOccur_ 1401_ 1-- 614 Valid 11/24/09 17:36:25 11/26/09 10:41:43 6.00 198.2 / 1,124.7

I have noticed that the 165 series of WUs are HUGE. While I don't mind long runtimes I want to make sure nothing is broken.

Re: odd credit calcs

hmmm, it does give the impression that claims are not agreeing, outlying rules are not considered and more, but happy the receiver should be [not that there's anything new here since we've seen the weirdest claims & grants since the beginning of the project] :D

If tasks do not pass the 12 hour mark and parents finish in full without positions carrying over, I'd not consider them huge, even small. Have one now that's at 12% at 36 minutes CPU time, suggesting it's going to be done in 5 hours.

Re: odd credit calcs

I will enjoy each and every one of those points biggrin
In about 2500 Wus overall I have never run into the twelve hour stop so from the perspective of an i7 @4.3 GHz 64 bit / HT on, 9.3 hours is huge wink

Happy Thanksgiving.

Re: odd credit calcs

Hi Steve!
The particularity of a HCMD2 WU which hits the 12-hour limit is not to be exceptionally huge, it is that it has more "tough zones" in its last 40 % than in its first 60 %.

Normally the hugest HCMD2 WUs will be found in those which hit the 6-hour limit in machines like yours. Unless you tell me that you have never had one, but if you crunch HCMD2 from the beginning I would be surprised. smile

Cheers. Jean.

Re: odd credit calcs

I have seen my fair share of stops at 6 hours. Th elatest series of WUs I have been working (165) are loaded with 6 hr stops and 9-10 hr completions. I'll mark this as resolved as the original post was about large grants/claims which have not been repeated.
Crunch on my brothers and sisters smile
