I currently have 12 pages of results, 11 of which are all Valid. I used to only see pages with pending results. Was this changed with the new web look? If so how many pages of Valid results will be displayed.
Just curious. Thanks, Faldor |

I always could see valid results. Normally they are moved after a few days though. How long ago were they validated?

What happens if you hit the Result Page Return Time Header link or this one: Sorted Results WCG policy is to leave Valid results for about 4 days after validation, but if it takes a longer time to get a batch complete, the early valids will stay longer. Opposed if there are storage volume issues, they might get moved off sooner by hand through the assimilator to the master database. The oldest valid listed on my pages are RICE going back to October 7, but that is because by a quick look each has an error or no reply result in the quorum... waiting on something, where the distribution for e.g. RICE and HCMD2 is rather complex with interdependencies to other results in a batch. So, are these 11 pages of valid made up by a specific project or is this a mix? My clients return combined about 25 results per day and I've got a mix that fills 7.5 pages and 1 page of Pending. All 6 sciences are represented, albeit, 1 is only run periodically for testing client version stability (I test future releases).

Both links show valid on the one I chose below.
All of the pages results are for RICE and go back as far as October 7th. Yes RICE is horrendous for needing a huge quorum. I assumed as the results are marked valid that they would clear. I didn't realize that if they were marked valid and someone else had returned an error they would hang out longer waiting for another confirmation or to reach quorum. I'll check for quorum from now on too. :) One early example R00411_41684d0453764db7666899ab7a39c98a_02 got its last Valid result in on 10/20/09. All results for it are marked Valid and it has 19 results with a quorum of 10. Thanks, Faldor |

Ok, since 5.5 pages of my 7.5 pages of Valid's listed make up RICE, R00398 the oldest, we may assume that these very little disk space using results have no rush to be moved off. As my 25 per day * 19 days since October 7 is about 475 results equal 31 pages worth of valid production for my clients, it's evident that the other projects clear quicker. RICE on my machines get's probably 15% of the computing time, maybe even less.
----------------------------------------We at WCG are lucky to be able to see results so long. At other projects often it's 24 hours before clearing. Now picture someone running a half dozen quads ;? I'd say, not to worry, but dfenitely nothing to do with the new look. ![]()
