Re: Testing current forum time zone thread

Hi JP,
I am in New Zealand.
I didn`t see the 5:37:08 am time anywhere.
I only see 8:37 PM in my post, 8:37 PM is correct local time for me.
Where did you see 5:37 PM?

JP,

When signed out: You see all posts per UTC time.
When signed in: You see all posts per YOUR time.

So when sunfolk posted his message it was 5:37 your time (if signed in and computer time shows your local time). Of course, then there is the forum offset time you can set too.

During my DST I've got to set it to: (GMT + 2:00 hours) Minsk, Kaliningrad, South Africa, Warsaw
During winter time I set it to: (GMT + 1:00 hours) Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Madrid, Paris, Rome

Only then do I get to show posts in my local time when signed in.

Clear as mud of course. How the folk in Adelaide do it I don't know because last I was there in January, the clock had an 8.5 hour offset with Rome CET.

Re: Testing current forum time zone thread

Current Timezone is -5. I think we change tomorrow?
When that happens I'll be on -6.

Side note, -6 is the herald of cold, snow, blizzards and icy roads. Who knew that a simple number had so much power?

In my version of Windows Vista, the drop down menu box for selecting the current time zone has an entry for Adelaide showing UTC + 9:30 There are also entries for other half hour locations throughout the world - Rangoon, New Delhi, Kabul, Tehran plus others. There is even an entry for Kathmandu which shows as UTC + 5:45 smile smile smile

Re: Testing current forum time zone thread

I already said it in another post, but here I go again. My time zone is the silly -4:30. This forum doesn't have that option, so I'm always confused silly
