Fully Operational, with no radioactive legacy, Didcot power station begins it's immediate demolition

You used to be able to see the cascade of water at the base of the towers from the railway line after Swindon on the way into London

This is the first of many

The lights will go out

Growing crops we don't seem to have an issue with - 8 times the production over 50 years

Now converting that Food Crop into Bio Ethanol and using it to run your Car instead of feeding People to "Save the Planet" = Problem

Note some of the increased yield is as a result of the increased bioavailability of CO2

No CO2 - No Crop

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

and then at Fukushima

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asi...failing-to-take-hold.html

But here in the UK we blow up our conventional Power Stations because they produce CO2 and are building the "Clean, Safe and Carbon Neutral" Nuclear Version by guaranteeing the providers of these monstrosities twice the rate for the electricity they produce as we had to pay for the convention power station we just blew up

while paying out billion after billion to tidy up the mess from the previous batch. For example...

http://www.magnoxsites.co.uk/wp-content/uploa...e-20080-Lifetime-Plan.pdf

They produce Electricity for 40 years take 120 years to decommission and leave behind a radioactive legacy we just move behind these gates

But there's no stopping this

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The July 2014 result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 22.085C - the coldest July in the temperature series so far

The average temperature August 2013 through to the end of July 2014 was 12.297C

Down 31/1000ths of a degree compared with the year to the end of June 2014

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 78,487,615 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

If this 0.04% CO2 is causing a catastrophic runaway warming of our Planet as foretold ... NOAA's thermometers are not registering it.

Dear Al

152,988 sq kms a day should do it.
Slightly more than a Bangladesh a day

All the very best
