Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Whl.

I thought I'd have read of my thread (I tend not to read more than a couple above because invariably on this subject I'm being abused or someone else is) and then I spotted it....

Carbon Capture

I'm glad you brought this up - the subject of compost

because the climate change fanatics would have us all believe that all the green matter capturing the CO2 in the year breaks down and releases it all back again in the same year

this is just nonsense as anyone, who actually goes outside to engage with our climate, would be able to testify

Thanks for your compost demo

As a kid Dad used to pay us (small change) to go kicking through the Autumn leaves and collect them up for his compost heap. That garden probably still benefits from our pocket money endeavours.

This year I am astounded by the amount (and size) of the Autumn leaves.

Plants love CO2

So there really are Greenhouse Gas Emissions ;-)

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

I did not know about the aquarium plants but there are greenhouses in Europe that have been using excess CO2 to make their plants grow better for several years now, I saw it on tv, the Discovery Channel. They pipe in the CO2 and then add it to the HUGE greenhouses and the plants love it! The CO2 comes from the local power plant so is a waste by product being put to use.

Did you guys see the news about how some climate folks have been lying and covering up the truth of how the climate is not always getting warmer? There is in fact some evidence that in some years we are actually colder than in the past 100 years! These guys conspired with each other to cover all that up and only talk about how the climate was getting warmer, perhaps doing irreparable harm to their own cause! The US Congress is getting ready to hold hearings on the whole thing.

Climate Change - like a scene from Orwell's 1984 - what an outrageous suggestion....................

Big Brother get's Bigger

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/...er-Gordon-Brown-plan.html

"An international satellite monitoring system to check countries comply with new climate change targets was proposed by Gordon Brown last night as a way of binding developing nations into a new deal on the environment."

and you think I take this too seriously

We are not taking the threat to our human potential and liberty seriously enough

We are being frogmarched into Copenhagen

They're not satisfied with a CCTV on every corner. Every transaction entered in a database. Every movement recorded.

We are a spider having it's legs pulled off one by one in the hands of a bully

Nothing whatsoever to do with the 0.0387% of the atmosphere that is CO2 nothing at all

Gerald

You wouldn't believe the number of times I have tried to brush that bug off my screen.

Not sure how we ended up here or what to do about it

The genius is that I can't afford to go to Copenhagen or even afford to take a day off work to make a banner and go make myself heard

even then I would be arrested.

You can't beat freedom of speech

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

right that's it my love affair with Google's Chrome is over

It runs away with your resources and refuses to scroll until it has received and rendered every last drop of a page

Firefox has turned into a bloated slow to load monster and IE is just a non-starter

Opera is just plain weird

Netscape Navigator tabs are awful

ah yes I remember Safari
