Stats Page Scrapers Beware!

Next week some time there's a plan of a major site update that 'touches nearly every page' (to include those that are scraped). Just that you know that like me, we'll have to work on where on the pages to pull the statistics info from.

Re: Stats Page Scrapers Beware!

Does this imply that statistics update will be delayed? I'm just curious because I noticed several finished work units that have been uploaded yesterday but still show up as 'In Progress' on the results status page.

Edit: In the meantime all uploaded results appeared on the results status page. There was a delay of about 12 hours.

Re: Stats Page Scrapers Beware!

Hi DmdBt,

Not related at all. This was an alert for people collecting statistics information. Your case was more "Ready to Report" (RtR) not having cleared yet. In Progress wont change until that part is done, usually when your client asks for new work. Reporting Result files are immediate, if the client can, but the server scheduler affecting RtR parts are saved up by the client for efficiency reasons. They clear no later than 24 hours after completion, mostly if no work is requested in that time span.

Hi Sekerob,

of course you're right. Although I am aware of this "Ready to Report" thingy for a long time, I simply overlooked that "Sending scheduler request" was missing in the message log. blushing Don't tell anybody, please. shhh

Maybe I should work out an improved order of "post in the forum" and "open my eyes"... sleep thinking
