Hi Folks,
I have a quick question. I have been crunching as an individual on WCG for a couple of years and am now thinking about joining a team - this one. I understand that points gained by any individual are automatically assigned to the team, which is fine. Does this then mean that it no longer becomes possible for an individual to earn any more badges upon joining a team? Thanks. JPC |

Folks,
I'm really confused as my post didn't end up where I thought it was going to do! The team name was quite simply 'UK' (Team ID 2210). Where did I go wrong? JPC |

You still keep adding to your individual points; the points you crunch while on a team add to that team's points for the duration you crunch with the team.
You will still earn your badges, because you always contribute to your individual points regardless of being a member of a team (or not). |

No, you'll still earn points for yourself and those points will also be attributed to the team you join. Thus, you'll still earn those precious badges :-)

Your contribution is yours. You will get your badges as always, but your contribution are also counted in to the team stats. It is only in the time you are a member of a team, your contribution is counted i to the team stats, so all the time you ave already contributed will not go in to the team.

This is team related, but not a team thread, which is rationed to one per team. It might stay here or might move to chat.
----------------------------------------I'd suggest just joining SOMETHING now. You can change teams at any time if you find one that you prefer. Team run time/points/results are credited for the time you are on the team. Individual run time/points/results are credited always, of course, but any team score is lost if not on a team. I'm not sure exactly what happens if you change teams more than once per day, since team statistics are gathered once per day at 0000Z/GMT/UTC. It might be split out, or it might be the last team of record before midnight.

The day production goes to the team someone is member off at 24:00:00 UTC :D
