Please do not recruit members outside of the Team Forum You have just moved a recruiting thread to a forum outside of the Team Forum. Please move this back as it is direct violation of the WCG forum rules. |

You're right, with the way I stated my original reason, this thread should not have been moved. I'm sorry that my original post was confusing, and I will amend it above to reflect my original intention. Looking at it again, this thread doesn't appear to be recruiting for any team. The topic of the thread appears to be a discussion of team statistics, followed by a discussion of when the TribalWar forums will be back online. Such discussions belong in the Chat Room. If you would like to start a new recruiting thread in the Teams forum, please make sure that your team does not currenlty have a recruiting thread in the Teams forum. I'm sorry for moving the thread and breaking the continuity. I was asked to move it by more than one of the people I work for, so I was not the first one to think it was out of place in the Teams forum. nelsoc |

I'm finding this place (forum) is still way too tightly wound. So sorry to have disturbed the sanctity of that which is the WCG old folks home, I'll try and keep it to a dull roar when I visit from now on. God forbid some old fart take offense to a friendly jibe or some competitive banter.
One question I feel compelled to ask of the regulars here; Do most of you people live in the real world or are you like Orbital123 and are still living a sheltered, detached from reality life in your mothers basements? No need to answer, I already have a good idea of what the majority of answers would be. Have a nice day and remember...cruncha, cruncha, cruncha! |

These forums suck compared to TW. Which is why I tend to shy away from posting in them. Too many rules and regulations; followed closely by anal retentive moderation just makes it feel more like a prison then a place of free flowing thought.

It is funny how you never miss something till it is taken away. These forums could learn a lot from TW. For all the trolls and gay threads you may find there, no one ever backs down from a flame war, ever. These boards are far to lame, I mean tame.

Too many rules and regulations; followed closely by anal retentive moderation just makes it feel more like a prison then a place of free flowing thought. Yes, while i agree that WCG needs to be more kid proof then TW.... over moderation is really the best way to kill a forum.Which is what the case is here... too high a percentage of the very few posts that actually get posted get buggered around with by mods/admin who have too low an IQ/experience level for the amount of power they have. |

This last rash of TW posts HAD to happen. And with good reason. I almost posted on it yesterday, myself, Beren. For the sake of the forum, though, spell it out. All that comes through is a feeling of being criticized - without rhyme or reason. The result is more resentment and misunderstandings. If you're going to blow steam anyhow, then why not turn a wheel or two while you're at it. Btw, I see your server is finally back up. Congrats. Negotiating it, though, aarrrrrggghhhhhh ..... |
