We have updated World Community Grid agent software on Saturday, May 7, 2005 17:00 UTC. After this, when your agent next returns its results, the update will be automatically applied. Some users may see an "Agent paused" message and/or get a pop-up window from their software firewall or other such protection software. If you do get one of these pop-ups, please authorize the new version of the code so that it is able to continue to use the Internet to connect back to our servers at address server.worldcommunitygrid.org over port 443. Depending on which firewall or other security software you use, the program names you might see in the pop-up are ud.exe, UDwin_3801_2844.exe, ud.scr, udtapi.dll, WCGrid_Rosetta.exe, or ud_nnnnn.exe where the nnnnn is some integer. If there is a checkbox to remember the setting, please check that also. The changes include some minor fixes and logo changes. We will post another item about these early next week.
