I have been ultra busy. So sad
---------------------------------------- Anyway, I was telling an associate today that I want an Intel I7860 so bad I can almost taste it but I cannot justify it in my own mind...let alone in my wife's mind (CFO). If anyone gets one, let us know about it.I was surprised to learn that the next one from Intel will be 6 core...not 8 core.. and that not till next year. We need AMD to do well to put the pressure on. |

i am only posting because i think the forum software must be malfunctioning. i have never seen our boreds (not misspelled according to the last few days ) so empty. one of the things about our group that has helped us gather new members is that we are active on the forum boards. with some of our more reliable folks taking a break it is time for us lurkers to pick up some slack. come on folks, join in the fun. ![]() i'm here at work.. lol.. don't post much, which I should do more of... i'm studying for a test early next month.. :( I have been ultra busy. So sad Anyway, I was telling an associate today that I want an Intel I7860 so bad I can almost taste it but I cannot justify it in my own mind...let alone in my wife's mind (CFO). If anyone gets one, let us know about it.I was surprised to learn that the next one from Intel will be 6 core...not 8 core.. and that not till next year. We need AMD to do well to put the pressure on. Thanks parmesian! I had been thinking of posting something less subtle than my previous hints. I know folks have real lives and plenty of things much more important than whether they post here or not. My one real beef with WCG is that there's no real way to effectively communicate with team members or other crunchers. Recruiting is all but impossible as these threads are our only real means. Even then, we are totally dependent on the off chance that someone finds the forums, realizes that teams exist and decides they want to join one. Rambling about looking at the various threads here, they have to decide given what they find depending on how far they look. A quiet thread won't have much of a chance. Who would you choose if you were looking now based on what you'd see here?Mike and RT, you are two of our regular posters. No reason for you to feel bad at all. We have a number of folks that I'd love to see get involved here in our thread. It doesn't have to be much. Once or twice a week would make a difference. We need more folks outside the US here. We are a global team after all. ![]() |

Well, there's Branson and then there's Missouri! Good luck with the board exam too! Two weeks from Monday, right? Ugh! A board exam on a Monday? What a way to start a week! The waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for the score may be worse though.

Hi All!
---------------------------------------- I'm still here and still breathing. Upset with current events and the state of our country, but doing my part to try to change it! Wow, as much as I love summer I am ready for winter. I keep watering my grass and it keeps growing and I have to keep mowing it. Then there's the pool - many algae problems this year. I think it's the fires and the wind that never stops! I got all the stuff to make me a winter batch of beer. Now it's time for a fire in the fireplace and a glass of some awesome homebrew. We had snow in the desert last year, and this winter is supposed to be colder and wetter. Can't wait for that! I turn 49 years young this weekend, and AARP is blasting me with all kinds of junk mail. I don't like that group much, and I'm wondering if they are going to keep this up until I turn 50! I'm saving all their junk mail and someday will put it all back in a box and use one of their postage paid envelopes pasted on the outside of the box to send it all back to them! I hope all is well with everyone!
