Just a short list of bugs observed on me own clients. Feel free to add any and PLEASE do not revert to discussion/resolution in this thread. There are already many on 6.6 clients. Open separate thread so people can quickly peruse this list to see if theirs is amongst the found issues.
----------------------------------------thanks 1. The client looses the elapsed (wallclock) progress time causing the jobs to appear too short in the BOINC Manager advanced view. Check the Task Properties to see the real CPU time. This impacts the amount of work buffered i.e. it is increasing since the Elapsed time affects the Time To Complete projection of all work for WCG by incorrectly lowering the Duration Correction Factor. Version affected: At least 6.6.36 to 6.6.38, XP+Vista Repeatability: Running BOINCview as an add on or exiting the BOINC Manager GUI whilst leaving the BOINC service running. Scheduled fix: Unknown 2. When hibernating a computer the client remains in 'suspend' when waking the computer up. You have to manually set the Run pref from Suspend to Always to get the client running again. Version affected: At least 6.6.36 to 6.6.38, XP+Vista Scheduled fix: Undetermined 3. Probably related to point 1, prior observation was a client pulling in more and more work to the point of over buffering and switching to High priority mode. Version affected: At least 6.6.31 to 6.6.38, XP+Vista Scheduled fix: 6.6.39 I'll update these items for as long as allowed inserting any fixes and versions that have come along. NB: All reported on the Berkeley forums to see if anyone confirms so it can be passed to the developers, if they read it or get told by someone through the alpha mailing list.
