For what it's worth, ffox has been throwing infinite-redirection-loop errors trying to access WCG pages. I don't know if this is a new-ffox bug, though it started happening about the time of the forum changes and is not happening on any other BOINC projects or non-BOINC sites. It takes several refreshes to get past it, then eventually I'm put onto the login page. Just thought I'd mention it; anyone else seeing this? Or if this is discussed elsewhere I didn't find it, please point me to it. Thanks.

This does not happen with my Firefox. Could you give us more information (for example, OS, version of Firefox, offending URL, proxy type, security programs)? Lawrence |

I do have this problem also since a few days. Bookmarked my PV-List, when calling the page, an infinite loop is thrown. Then I call again (from bookmarks) and it loads fine. FF3.5.2 on XP, No FW/Proxy. |

In this situation, it sometimes helps to sign out of the site and back in again.
Also, clearing your cookies may help. |

I solved it by clearing my cache. ffox 3.0.13 on Vista

I've just released an update to the forums that will reduce a lot of the login issues here. If someone experiences the redirection error, please let me know what cookies you have for us so I can try to reproduce the issue. Also let me know what page you were trying to access.

Now on Ffox 3.52 xp Pro sp3, no proxies, nothing changed in my antivirus and my firewall is external (and hasn't changed either). I was on an earlier version of 3.x ffox when this started. Refreshing the My Grid is the usual page I hit, or else the Results status page. I'm checking these a few times a day now to check my progress towards a CEP gold <grin>.
----------------------------------------ffox's try again button used to work, eventually, but these days I've had to explicitly go to https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProfile.do and eventually that will throw me into the login page. The following list of cookie names was compiled after I got past the redirection error, but I can check for differences the next time it happens. I was able to reproduce at least one case of the redirection error. I have fixed that one and updated the website.
----------------------------------------If you experience it again, please tell me the following: 1) Did you 'auto-login' checked last time you logged in 2) What URL were you trying to go to 3) About how long has it been since you last visited the website As well as your cookies. In fact if you would be willing to, if you could take a screen shot of your cookies filtered with 'worldcommunitygrid' before you attempt the URL, a screen shot of the cookies when you have the 'redirect error' showing and then a screen shot after you got past the error, then I would really appreciate it. All of this assumes the last change that I just deployed has not resolved your issues. Send them to support@worldcommunitygrid.org and ask that they be fowarded to knreed. thanks! I duplicated it immediately by closing the browser and starting it up again, however I use the open-all-in-tabs function on a bookmarks folder that contains my current boinc interests and related stuff. I then navigated to that page directly and it was fine. I've been browsing boinc that way for over a year though.
I always check Remember Me when I log in. It had probably been 30-60 minutes since I did anything before closing the browser. jpeg snapshots are on their way. sTrey |

I also tried this in IE and it also fails (with its standard error "cant't view"). On both browsers when calling the page (from bookmarks) a second time it works. Edit: I cleared the WCG-cookies in both browsers before.
