Known Issues with Forum Update [Resolved]
We have just released the new forum software. You can read about that here: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,26663

Members are reporting a few issues that we are currently working on:


  • Grey background color everywhere. Fixed
  • No edit post button (logout and back in and you can edit your own posts
  • Split thread button shown for users who are not allowed to use the feature
  • Difficult color contrasts Text made darker
  • Search index lost after update
  • Clicking on search result goes to first page
  • Errors in style sheet cause issues with Chrome
  • Periodic error which causes forums to be offline. Message given: mvnForum Fatal Error Message : Cannot init system. Reason : Assertion in OnlineUserFactoryImpl.


We are working to resolve these items. We will post in this global thread as we have updates.

  • {code}whatever{/code} does not work
  • Size of text cannot be changed
  • 'My Profile' still does not show the Time Zone unless 'Edit My Profile'


We have also added additional logging to to the forums to obtain more information about what is causing the forums to go offline.

We have addressed the majority of reported issues. If members continue to have additional issues, please report those in the website support forum thread.
