rosetta keeps locking up my computer.
it's either that or uninstall WCG altogether. |

rosetta keeps locking up my computer. it's either that or uninstall WCG altogether. There are two possible answers to your question... First is that it is rosetta (HPF2) project. If this is the case, then go into "My Grid" at the top. And in there you'll see "My projects" on the left. Select that. From there you can deselect projects that you do not wish to run on your machine. Second is that you're talking about rosetta@home project. This means when you look at your projects tab on the agent you see two projects listed. If this is the case, then you'll need to select the rosetta@home project and press detach on the left of the agent. Note: if it is the first situation, can you please give us more details on your computer? Like memory, processor, OS type...also are you seeing any errors from these lockups? -Uplinger |

? Rosetta or as uplinger referred to it HPF2 is in full called Human Proteome Folding Phase 2, not rosetta. HPF2 uses a science engine developed by people at rosetta. They do the testing/optimization and WCG does a large scale actual production run, probably lasting till 2011 and doing analysis on multiple targets. Currently I think Rice is the target.
