This has been kind of disappointing to see that two of the projects I am interested in are so close to completing that I may not make the goals I had set for myself. Although CEP will have a second phase, I haven't seen anything to say the same for FLU. At least the other active projects do have quite a bit of time before completion. I can understand people want badges etc and no offence meant to the person I've quoted, but I must say I think its absolutely great when a project finishes. That means the job is getting done. It would be great if in the future projects would be turned around in a few months rather than years on average. Imagine all the research we could do then, and the positive impact that might have on a lot of peoples lives! |

Is there a chance to fill the bunker (for 10 days) on october 04? My vacation ends on that day and then I can start up my computer for the next 10 days.

Chances for that are small. If there are still tasks around at that time, I guess there will not be too many. Buffering up 10 days will be hard.
You can try though, if you really need the 10 calendar days to get your Badge objective. If you know you won't make it, then you'd better look for another target. If you crunch for the science: then be happy with what you get. In that case buffering up will be counterproductive: the scientists will be waiting on your results to be returned so you will delay the "mopping up". Anyway, "early October" could be October 1st, or October 14th. Or something in between... |

I've been watching the progress closely since I'm trying to go for sapphire. Based on the rate things are progressing on the series 8 work units I'm estimating all the new work for the series 8 project should be sent by Sept 16th.
If I'm correct, on the 16th we should start seeing series 9 work units. If these estimates are correct, that would mean the 8 series took about 14+- days to complete. If series 9 takes the same amount of time we're looking at about Sept 30 for the last new work units. Of course after that we will still have the "inconclusive" and "no reply" work units for a couple of weeks, which would take you to about the middle of October. But I doubt you would be able to get 10 days worth of these work units. I could also be completely wrong. We'll see on the 16th... Steve |

It is wild. Only D I made in my life wasin spelling. Once told I would never make it through college due to my poor spelling and writing skills. Told that teacher I would hire a secretary. Obviously she did not like that but that is what I have done. Try to keep things lively. Thanks for pointing out my short coming Sereob!

No offense taken, but projects could be set up in such a way that intermittent results could be used to establish ongoing research in the area of the project. You may consider that shorter periods of time would be desirable from the standpoint of using the results more immediately, but by establishing checkpoints for a task, you could accomplish the same thing for a project continuing for a considerable amount of time. |

Has anyone seen the "no work available" message yet for IADS?
----------------------------------------I ask, as I was just wondering if, with all these people flooding back to this project, as to whether we're close to/hitting the daily feed limit yet... |
