Used to ride one, put over 25,000 miles on it. Great bike and will do everything you mentioned perfectly! My current ride is a Kawasaki Concours 1400. Riding is my therapy, I get cranky when I can't ride for awhile.

Merry Christmas to All!

As we approach the end of another year and celebrate God stooping low to reach us all, we want to pause and celebrate with each one of you. This team has piled more new accomplishments on top of the accomplishments from years past. Every year we reach new heights and make new advances. None of it could be done without you. Even if you have not been able to contribute recently, you are still a valued member of the team; somebody who helped row the boat until others could arrive.

This year, no matter where you are, we want to encourage you. Maybe you've had an incredible year and have been able to buy powerful new hardware strictly for crunching. Maybe you've recently joined and add some enthusiasm. Maybe you've had an awful year and crunching is the furthest thing from your mind. One glance at the daily news headlines quickly reminds us that we live in a fallen world. We are a team spread throughout this fallen world. Even if we, our family, or our friends are not affected by any tragedy the world may hear about through the news, we all face challenges. Satan prowls like a lion seeking whom he will destroy. But fear not! Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world! Continue to build your foundation on the rock of Christ, and as the storms come you will stand. And someday, we'll all have eternity where there are no more tears. And we can all gather and reminisce about crunching and joke about Col323's slow Internet connection.

So wherever you are, we welcome you to join us and encourage you to travel on with us. This team is accomplishing some great things and continues to expand our reach. In World Community Grid alone, we have helped wrap up Computing for Sustainable Water well ahead of the scientists' expectations. We're also helping close out Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 2 and Help Fight Childhood Cancer - although here the results we return are so good that the project scientists are able to follow leads and release more work for us! We've also put the pedal to the medal on Help Conquer Cancer which released GPU computing. The team also is expanding its reach in two other ways: first, we are reaching beyond World Community Grid to a few other projects, and secondly, within WCG by temporarily joining with others to add production to a team in need of computing power - aka "going on a trek". All of these are great ways to extend the name and love of Jesus in a dark and hurting world. If any of these sound good, you're welcome to join the efforts. You're also welcome to come up with your own ideas!

If you have any questions or ideas, please come share in our team thread or team forum. Even if you aren't actively crunching, you can still utilize the forum to discuss books, Bible passages, prayer requests, and technology. Why not join with some other knowledgeable folks who also love God to encourage each other while we toil on earth?

Merry Christmas, all you who have crunched or still crunch under the banner of Christians. While we are not the only Christians who crunch, we are a unique team; a team part of the body of Christ. We are incredibly grateful for the gift God gave us. Together, let's share that joy and hope with others this season and throughout the upcoming year! God bless us, every one.
