Big welcome to Seroph4x who joined us today and comes to us from team BOINC@AUSTRALIA Come say hello to him on our Team Forum! Thanks mate :) Just wait till I buy a 2600k...it's gonna be awesome and will help the team no end I think! I am very excited. The plan is to upgrade my i5 3.2ghz computer and put a new motherboard in it, a 2600k and 8 gig of 2200mhz ram! Then with the spare parts left over (the i5 etc) i'll make a computer out of that, I have all the other parts needed apart from a spare hd and i'll need to buy windows 7 again too. So then i'll have 2 dedicated machines running for team Christians! Unfortunately my i5 is down atm as I need to buy a new cooler for it so i'm stuck on this power hungry, slow, old 3ghz p4 which takes like 5 hours to crunch 1 cancer WU...but my i5 will be back online soon and i'll have that upgrade and new box within 2 weeks. :) |
