Re: Christians are giving......come give with us!

Congrats!!!!

Yes, new hardware would be good :) I need new stuffs and firstly my mouse as it is spitting and sputtering on the left clicker :P

I got 3 Beta's that all validated (yay) and added almost a full day closer to Bronze, so a new pc that is an Intel instead of AMD is what I am shooting for soooooooon and then I will be on par with my wingmen of 2-3 hrs instead of 7 >.< but thankfully they validated this time!

Crunch on Team!!

Congrats Team!

That last batch of Betas finally got me a badge.

RAID Zero has a post on our forum discussing some AMD processors, but I tend to like Intel better.

Re: Christians are giving......come give with us!

I'm so excited about this, I have to crosspost. biggrin

There's quite a lot going on in WCG lately - Fight Aids has some new discoveries, DDDT2 is gearing up, and Rice is winding down. However, Help Conquer Cancer has huge news of their own. They have found some optimizations within their code which basically double performance across all platforms. (Many are seeing ~2x increase, some 64 bit Linux users ~3x!) I don't know all the changes, but the number of page faults is significantly reduced, and supposedly some large, multi-dimensional arrays are now declared outside of some loops which are executed hundreds of thousands of times (or more).

Check out Sekerob's chart to see what a dramatic impact this has on the HCC subproject. Not only that, but think about how many cycles are freed up for all the other WCG subprojects!

Re: Christians are giving......come give with us!

Here are a couple of team stats tidbits.

On March 29th, we returned 1,642 results. That is second most in our team history. Day #1 is August 8th of 2007 where the Base Camp pushed us to an amazing 1,773 results. Perhaps one of these days we will eclipse that mark.

Also March 29th marked the first time in our team history where we scored over 100 points per hour of CPU time with a mark of 101.38 . Our team lifetime average currently sits at 63.20, but that figure has been steadily rising. Consider this: We had not even broken 90 points per CPU hour until late November. This means we are becoming highly efficient! cool

Great work, all! smile
