Good question! It's always good to check and not just go on hearsay.
. 3238 comes from this post from seipple. Sorry for the delay, but there should be a reasonable supply going out now. I'll get the website estimated completion updated soon as well. For reference, the last batch is currently 3238 (although that might change if additional work is added in the future). Seippel I know it's old, but my enddate calculations jibe well with the one on the Research Page, and I'm calculating my enddate using 3238. However, I'm pretty sure 3238 is not the official end. For instance, caitilarkin just posted this today We had a call with the SCC researchers this evening. The team recently met in person in Hong Kong to discuss the project. (Since they're located in three different countries, this is a very rare meeting!) They discussed the project work flow as well as plans for the future. Once their plans are finalized, we'll start making announcements. They are building new work units which should last into January. At that time, they'll start running new work units simulating different targets. That last bit I bolded makes it sound like 3238 is not the last we will see for the type of work we are currently crunching. And once we run out of this type of work, they should bake something new for us to chew on. ![]() |

I missed the post from seipple. I also checked my SCC work units, and my highest number is still 3227.

My wife told me this story last night. There's a boy about 4 years old who attends my daughter's preschool. On Thursday he had been to the doctor for stomach pain, but the doctor didn't see a fever or any sign of virus. On Friday they were celebrating his birthday at school and he wasn't into it - complaining of stomach pain. The teacher recommended they take him to the local children's hospital.
They found neuroblastoma and stage 4 cancer in his stomach. The took him into operation and removed what they could. They soon start him on chemo. I don't know his prognosis. But, it's more motivation to crunch away at SCC! Please lift up this boy in your prayers. And speaking of crunching away, I saw a 3237 unit in my queue today. |

Thats rough Col323!
I thought about acquiring the 50 year badge in OpenZika or the 100 year badge in SCC. I don't think I have the hardware to get both badges, unless both projects go on for years and years. Therefore I will proceed toward the 100 SCC badge simply because of how awful cancer is. Zika is pretty bad, but not as bad as a child getting cancer IMO. Right now I am vacationing with the Little Mermaid and Co. and our French Friends at L'Alliance Francophone. From my understanding, the name means "French-Speaking Alliance". I will be back December 23. Anyway, If I don't see you before next week, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. ![]() |

I have more details on the boy from my daughter's school, sent by his teacher who went to visit:
He smiled a few times today !!!! He enjoyed seeing his buddies who came to visit!! He and I played on his bed with Mr Potato Head and with Legos from another friend :) He does get very agitated but who wouldn't !!! He is on Morphine and that can make emotions all over the place. So seeing a smile was fantastic for his mom today. She thanks all of you for your support, prayers and the gifts. Physical therapy came in and it was tough to see. He hurts. Any movement causes pain. Walking only happens when they make him . I don't know how those amazing nurses do it. He cried and begged but they know he has to walk so they did what they had to do for what's best for him. I got to sit in on the meeting about what's next and I am so excited to say HE IS ALLOWED TO COME TO PRESCHOOL !!!! Now it's only when he feels like it and we were told that to expect just a couple of days between chemotherapy and let him enjoy those days. He will be hospitalized on average five days each chemotherapy treatment. The nurse coordinator said this is the hardest , with the harshest treatment, of any childhood cancer . His bone marrow was also positive. The cancer is in his stomach, spine, and bones. They have a go fund me. https://www.gofundme.com/z7pun-aries-army. Please, do not feel obligated, but you can see pictures and read more. |

And Happy New Year all. It's been very cold here in Colorado during the last few days, with the temperature dropping to near 0 degrees F at night.
