Hi, i recently installed WCG and i have the following problem, i cant use my own account, i cant open the configuration file or the local preferences files, and there says that im connected as "alexis a moreno l", and thats not my account. A couples of days ago a received a mail that says:
----------------------------------------"Our records reflect that you registered on June 26, 2009, but as of today your computer has not returned any research results to our servers. This means that your computer has not yet contributed to the following projects that you selected:..." I know that WCG is working since the very first moment i installed the software on my PC. But is not working under my account. I would like to know to fix this up. Maybe WCG was installed in this PC before and when it was uninstalled it keeped the configuration files. Did you inhered or purchase this used PC?
----------------------------------------Yes, if BOINC was on there and uninstalled and you reinstalled, it's bound to have picked up the member account from the files that were already there. Simple open BOINC, in the project tab detach from WCG and reattach using name password of your account via the tools > attach to project option.
