Speaking of heat issues, last I heard (bout a month ago) your 'Darkstar' came and shut off most your machines. were you able to get some cooling to continue crunching? You are right Jack. The Darkstar did indeed cause havoc. I tried to find the right compromise. This means that in total 4 machines out of 15 are active at the moment. These are machines with a 50'000 ppd capability. At the moment I generate around 180'000 ppd. If all machines would be active I could do around 710'000 ppd. Hence my terrible frustration at the moment. As I got Human proteome up to Sapphire, I had a lot of results
----------------------------------------pending. So working on aids and cancer and collecting proteome points I set a personal best of 76,000 points yesterday and 73,000 today! (50Kish was previous record) Starting school for computer hardware/networking soon. Not sure if I want to work in a repair shop or at a company working on their systems, but it will support my habit of more computational power (as I learn how to better beef up my own systems)  |
