Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Wow, managed to get blue thanks to heroic performance of my CPUs. It was really close, I will move to DSFL now, there are some rumors about close end as well.

It was really an honor for me to be part of such huge project doing basic research.
Hopefully they will be able go get some funding soon.

Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

I just got my first Emerald smile

There's no way I can reach Sapphire in time. I already set Boinc to not fetch more tasks but I have 7 days left in my work buffer. How can I release my leftover tasks? Can I just abort them? Or is it better if I just finish them myself? I'd rather be crunching other projects now (I need more badges cool ).

Go ahead and abort them. This will increase the work for the hpf2 server, but it will free you for WU from your new badge. There might be a better way, but this is what I do. confused Just be aware that if you abort them all at once, you'll get lots of new WU for the current date. You might want to decrease your buffer sizes before you abort the WU. Keeping your buffer sizes less than 2 days keeps others from waiting a long time for you to verify their work.

The following link gives a pretty good estimate of the time left for the projects. smile

Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Agree with Allen: abort all unstarted HPF2 WU's, but prior to this action, change sub-project selection in your Device Profile

Cheers and good luck with other sub-projects peace

Re: HPF2 Project Badge Recognition Thread

Thank you Branjo, rumors are pretty close to the truth here at WCG, we do not have any better source of information than them :-) I am pretty close to the target ~ 128 days so I will concentrate on reaching it.
Which projects do you participate in right now?
Veľa štastia s nimi prajem.
