Why is it that the BOINC manager and WCG have two different numbers for accumulated points? As of this post, WCG says I have 967,186 but my BOINC Manager and BOINC Stats both say I'm at 139045.16.

For historical reasons, the number on the website is multiplied by 7.

So why are the current rankings different between WCG and Boincstats.com?

The WCG rankings include points from the old UD client.

The WCG rankings include points from the old UD client. Wait, what?? The UD client on grid.org that crunched in the early 2000s? Or is there another... I ran a ton of machines on the grid.org crunching for a while. I just joined WCG a few months ago and I definitely started from scratch on points...? |
