I switched my P4 3.0 HT box from HCMD2 to HFCC and I noticed there is big difference in the time it takes to complete HFCC WU's when compared to my dual core boxes running HFCC. When they were both running HCMD2 the completion times were pretty close. The dual cores complete HFCC WU's in about 6 hours but the P4 box is only 22% complete after 9+ hours. Is this normal? I'm running version 6.2.28.

Hello nanoprobe,
You can select Statistics - By Projects and then select each project to see how long it took to run an average work unit Yesterday. Sounds like your HFCC unit is bigger than average. Lawrence |

Hello nanoprobe, You can select Statistics - By Projects and then select each project to see how long it took to run an average work unit Yesterday. Sounds like your HFCC unit is bigger than average. Lawrence The times have been going up steady only on the P4 box. The other 3 crunchers I oversee are dual cores and have been running HFCC without any noticeable increase in crunch times. No biggy but it is weird. 12 hours and only 30% and 27% done respectively when the others knock them out completely in 5-6 hours.

I have several P4 boxes at 1.5 and 1.6 ghz. They complete a HFCC unit in the 15 to 20 hour range. Your box should be faster.

My Pentium 4 2.8ghz finishes one workunit in ~10-14hr.
My Core2Quad finishes 4 workunit in ~2:30. :) Talk about breakthrough. I wonder what performance i7 could get.. |
