Dear all,
Could anyone of you tell me with what percentage of CPU should be set, please? Nowing that the calculation would be performed in the lowest priority, I have set mine of 100% these days. It seems to be okay with my daily usage on the PC up til now. However, my friend told me that it could ruin the chip (CPU) in the long run!!! Is that true, or not? Thanks in advance. riz |

I have been doing this sort of stuff since 2000, always 100% 24/7, with never a single failure

Laptop, I use TThrottle (windows) all the time to automatically control the amount of time BOINC can use so the temperature does not go over the target limit. Superior to BOINC's own CPU control. Again, keeping them clean of dust does wonders.
