The World Community Grid shows the following three statistics in the web pages: Total Run Time, Points Generated, and Results Returned.
Many members choose to track one or another of these to judge their progress, that of their team or of their geography. The posts in the forums indicate that the two most often tracked are Points Generated and Results Returned. The WCG Agent reports only two of these measures: Total Run Time and Points Generated. It does not appear to be consistent for the Agent not to also report Results Returned. I would like to see this added to the list of changes. It probably should be prioritized somewhere below the Linux version of the software and above reporting the phase of the moon on the Agent.  |

In our opinion, the most consistent reliable stat is Run Time.
Although it is a good idea to add Results Returned to the agent, that part of the software is out of our control. The code for the agent is totally controlled by the vendor from whom we have licensed the grid software. We will put this on the list but can not promise that this change will be implemented in the near term. Thank you for the suggestion. |
