***sighs***

Every computer in Canada is a potential contributer...

This thread is to let Canadians know that there is a team here for them if they wish.

We aren't in competition with anyone. We just want to show the rest of the world the caring and giving spirit of Canadians.

On that note, if you having nothing constructive to say then please refrain from posting in this thread.

Thanks in advance,
Ripcat

P.S. The only winners here will be the people that benefit from what we are doing here at the WCG, all of us!

Ripcat --
MOT found that this did not work. Tribalwar.com in general is only interested in winning, regardless of the cost to others. A few of them do really care about helping humanity, but for the most part, your request will fall on deaf ears.
Good luck in keeping your sanity.

RipCat;
This is Paws -- Bull Hockey-- You all are just as competitive as the rest of us and as just as socially contributing. What is the saying? You can fool some of the people some of the time, and you can fool most of the people all the time but you can't fool Paws with this line. biggrin
By the way don't fight dirty with TW they are like wrestling with a pig in a mudhole - you both get filthy and the pig just loves it. Flattery doesn't work either they are like the Canadian Sap Sucker their little peckers keep looking for holes.

Re: rolling eyesa

Team Canada is just too weak to put up any opposition anyway.

Unlike the spirited MOT, Canada is content with being beaten by a tiny internet website. Sad really, that an entire Country the size of Canada can only muster a mediocre showing at best. Congrats to the members that you've managed to gather together, however, and I hope you can pull up your numbers a bit and give a better showing.

You're welcome for bumping your thread, BTW. cool

Re: rolling eyesa

There are more Canadians on World Community Grid than one might suspect.

If you enter "Canada" on the Team Search you see that about 600+ members have joined teams with the name Canada in them: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewSe...me&searchValue=canada

If you look up the country of Canada stats, you will see that about 1,200+ people have indentified Canada as the country of residence in their personal Profile. We find that only about 1 out of 3 members identify their country of residence so it is safe to assume that there are probably 4,000 Canadians on World Community Grid: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewCountryStats.do?countryCode=CA

Re: Canadians on other teams

It's very similar to the IBM teams that way... I hope IBMers (yes, that's what they're called) will see the folley of their ways reflected in the Canadians dispersal and band together as one!

I hope that's not too off-topic...
