Is there a "graceful shutdown" option?

A newbie question:

Is there a "graceful shutdown" available? That is, "finish what you're doing, submit the results and notify the WCG servers that queued work units are available for others"?

Re: Is there a "graceful shutdown" option?

Do you mean shutting down the computer's participation in WCG?
1. In Boinc Manager select the WCG project and then click on "No New Tasks"
2. In Boinc Manager select each WU you have not started and click "Abort".
3. Once the last WU has finished crunching, if it still says "Ready to Report" then select the WCG project and click "Update"
4. When there are no longer any tasks displayed in the Tasks tab, select the WCG project and then click "Detach"

waitingForTheMiracle,
If you were asking the question because you will be absent for a while but you intend to resume contributing when you are back you do not even need to detach WCG.
When you are back you will only need to select WCG and click "Allow new tasks".

Cheers. Jean.
