Re: cyberwire makes 100K in just 10 days applause

A huge round of applause to CyberWire for the breakneck speed with which he's got into the MOT 6 digit club .. wtg applause applause

Now how about doing the next 150K (to make it 250K for MOT) in the next 10 days shock .. only a 50% increase in output!! OK OK if that's too much .. how about this small challenge then - you to get to 250K before I get to 50K thinking (at my current rate of return of approx 775 per day this looks like another 13 days or so) biggrin

Re: The Bounce Back should be fun biggrin

The Monster Work Unit effect bites again. For those members unfamiliar with this phenomenon (I confess I used word wink) here's an extract from January the day we first broke 100,000 points in a day. We had been trundling along in the 50s and then our points more than halved (with less members the effect is greater) but with a bit of patience the payback arrived a few days later with our first 100,000+ score and rumbled on into the following day....

Part of the slip is my fault, too... I went from a personal all-time high of 41,368 points in a day down to around 15k points per day (using mostly my "backup" admin machines). We've been rendering potential opening sequences for the Davinci Code trailer, so the renderfarm has been running flat out, non-stop for a couple days now. Nothing left over for WCG. :-(

Hopefully they'll finish today and I bring everything back online for the weekend, otherwise we're looking at next week before I can bring the farm back into WCG crunch mode.

Re: The Bounce Back should be fun biggrin

Hey CompuDude - nice to see you posting after all this time .. hang in there mate & let us know how you're getting on biggrin

Well MOT mates .. with our great nemesis The Borg (aka TW) only just over 400k behind us & catching us at the rate of approx 90K per day, it is only a matter of a few days before we are overrun .. 'resistance is futile' & all that

As we ponder our fate and figure out a way to here is something I found to keep our spirits up

Always look on the Borg side of life
=======================

Most things in life are bad
They can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and cuss.
When you're chewing on Life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle,
and just be glad you're not yet one of us...

And...always look on the Borg side of Life...
(whistle)

Always look on the Borg side of Life...
(whistle)

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten.
and that's to pray that we're not coming yet
If you think that you'll be saved.
The road to freedom is now paved.
All we say is "wanna make a bet"

And...always look on the Borg side of Life
(whistle)

Come On.

Always look on the Borg side of Life.
(whistle)

For life is quite absurd,
"Assimilation"'s the final word.
If we must, we'll go that extra mile...
Forget about the fight.
'cause the Borg are always right.
And We're sure you'll know resistance is futile.

So...Always look on the Borg side of death.
(whistle)
Just before you draw your terminal breath
(whistle)

Life's a piece of sh*t
when you look at it.
That's why we do what we do.
Just remember that we're here.
We're not going anywhere,
and soon we'll be coming after you.

And...always look on the Borg side of life.

Always look on the Borg side of Life.
(whistle)

Cheering up is irrelevent

Always look on the Borg side of Life.
(whistle)

Always look on the Borg side of Life.
(whistle)

Worst things happen in space, you know.

Always look on the Borg side of Life.
(whistle)

We mean - what have you got to lose?
You came from nothing?
You're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing.

Always look on the Borg side of Life.
(whistle)
(fade)

Yeah, I'm still around... been mostly keeping with the MOT thread and website, but been too swamped to post much. Keep up the good work, though, everyone. :-)

Re: biggrinbiggrinbiggrin "Classic" MyOnlineTeam is back! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Wish there was a cheap case setup that would allow a person to stick three or more motherboards and have access to their keyboard, monitor, usb, Firewire and LAN connectors form each motherboard. Sort of a poor mans blade. Friend wife counts boxes. She would never think to look inside of the case. Get motherboards with built in video and slap a gig of memory with 3000 Simperons on each with usb hardrives, smile as you crunch away. All the while tell friend wife you decided to clean up and you got rid of all "those other" machines" biggrin
God, I should slap myself it is almost too devious devilish

You're falling behind keep up! We're almost there the magic 6 digits. I think I can just see the shore of 6 digitland every time the wave crest. Dog paddling is tiresome. biggrin The under tow will pull us under if we are not careful, must be the TW gang or the tide will wash us away if you get to far out of reach. smile
